Human Trafficking is a global problem affecting millions of people each year who are illegally recruited, transportated, or harbored through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in our local city of Rockford, IL.

Human Trafficking Happens Here - Help Raise Awareness!
Saturday, October 14th is the day that the people of Rockford will hit the streets to walk in a single file line - holding posters and handing out flyers - to bring awareness and local action in the fight against human trafficking. By joining the March For Freedom, you will help reduce local vulnerability and empower your community to identify and report trafficking suspicions. This event is FREE and open to all. There is strength in numbers, so we encourage anyone who is interested in taking a stand against HT to please come march with us.

March For Freedom is a silent walk, representing the victims who have lost their voices and freedoms to the world of human trafficking. Our signs and shirts will be the means in which we bring awareness and knowledge to the community, so participants will be provided a free "Human Trafficking Happens Here" t-shirt at check-in on the day of the march.

As a Christian, I am committed to Christ and doing His will - the hands and feet of God on earth. To serve God and serve others is my greatest honor, and I believe every other human being was created for the same purpose, with the same freedoms to do so. For the millions of people who have lost those freedoms to the world of HT, I will take a stand. I am dedicated to raising awareness, protecting the vulnerable, and working with others to prevent the progression of human trafficking.
May we never underestimate the strengths God has given us, and the part we play in raising awareness and empowering others. We all have the ability to make a difference.
